VERY bad customer service. I went to this post office to send a parcel earlier this week. I explained that I needed a bit of guidance, but instead the older man serving me was passive-aggressive and rude. He gave me a label and told me to write the address. When I returned to the counter, he asked what the parcel contained for safety/security reasons. After I answered, he laughed and said, “not very expensive,” which I found strange, completely unnecessary and irrelevant. The item actually was quite pricey as it was a limited piece of merchandise I was sending to a friend. He rushed the entire process and didn’t seem willing to help. I’m also certain I was overcharged for shipping. When I asked about a 3–5 day option instead of next day delivery, he told me not to bother as it would cost the same. That didn’t seem right and he didn’t even check so I knew he was lying, and when I kept asking for different shipping options he made some excuse about parcel delivery and pick up times… After looking it up myself when I got home, I found that wasn’t true at all snd I could’ve got cheaper shipping which would’ve been preferred as my friend was paying for shipping, not me. I’m also unhappy with how the man behind the counter handled my parcel. He was unnecessarily rough and dashed it down carelessly, despite the clearly marked “fragile” tape. Given his earlier “not very expensive” comment, it felt intentional and spiteful. In hindsight, I should have expected issues. The day before, when I went in to buy packaging, another staff member watched me very closely and even went to inspect the area I had been browsing after I walked away, as if I’m going to steal £3.99 packaging. If only they put the same energy they use being unnecessarily rude to paying customers into maintaining their shop. The place was unkempt, messy, disorganised and noticeably dirty with an unpleasant smell. I would have gone elsewhere, but I was in a hurry. Overall, a very poor experience. I won’t be returning to this branch… honestly wish I read the reviews first.

The post office counter service was extremely poor with no people skills. He was rude and dismissive when trying to apply for a V62 and tax. When he without asking how I wanted to pay and did put in for the whole year got very annoyed and even sucked his teeth at me. He then said there was a £10 extra handling/sending fee which isn't standard in any other post office. I decided not to go through with the transaction and left. Won't be going there again.
